So, because these books are quite short, and I don't really have that much to say about all of them, I'm going to do a mini review of each of them.
Also, I have seen the TV-show before I started reading these, so I knew some of the things that were going to happen.
Summary:
Three years ago, Alison disappeared after a slumber party. Her friends mourned her, but also felt relief: Alison knew all their secrets.
So when weird texts and emails start arriving, Aria, Emily, Hanna and Spencer can't help but wonder: Is Alison back? And if she is... what will she do?

The first book was pretty solid. We're introduced to all of the characters, and we get to know all four girls. I really liked how all the characters are different from each other. I also really like the setting of Rosewood.
The mystery aspect of this was quite suspenseful, and I thought this book was a good introduction to the series.

In this book, we get a little deeper into the story. A web is starting to show, of how everything and everyone is connected. I also like how the girls are finding their way back to each other, but it's not an easy road for them. Their relationships aren't as easy as they are in the TV-series, which I appreciate.
The end of this book was also quite exciting.

For some reason I found things to get a little repetitive in this story. It's still really dramatic, but after I've read the next one, I'm definitely going to need a break. It's a little much!
I think I enjoyed reading the most about Spencer and Emily in this one, as I found they had the most interesting stories.

I think this is the book I noticed most how much I wish I hadn't watched the TV-show before reading this. The climax is actually very exciting, but as I already knew what was going on... it wasn't quite the same.
However, I still enjoyed it. I'm quite curious as to what's going to happen next.

In this book, we read from the perspective of Alison before she goes missing. I found this to be really interesting and surprising, but I wonder if I should have waited to read it until I got a little bit further into the series. This is definitely the book I enjoyed reading the most though.
Still, I can't seem to figure how it all connects yet, so I'm quite excited to read on.

Overall, as you can probably gather, I think I would have liked this more if I hadn't already watched the show. I also feel like the books are leaning towards a younger audience than the TV-show, and there are parts in the show I'm obsessed with, yet don't really care about in the books (especially the relationship between Aria and Ezra).
This series is annoyingly addicting. I would recommend this to people who like fast-paced chick-lit with a little bit of mystery and a lot of drama.
